Publication of the Thesis in the UFC Repository and Application for a Master’s Degree – DOCUMENTATION
The request for a diploma will only be forwarded to the Office of the Provost after the dissertation or thesis has been published on the UFC Library website.
PROCEDURE FOR PUBLICATION IN THE UFC REPOSITORY:
1. Send the file of your completed thesis (dissertation/thesis) in PDF/A format (NO NEED TO LOCK IT) to ppgg@ufc.br with the following subject line: “Thesis for Publication,” along with the atualizacao-termo-autorizacao-disponibilizar-documentos-digitais-2023[1].
Obs: Students must email the Program the file containing their completed paper in PDF/A format, along with the Authorization Statement for the UFC Institutional Repository. In order to prevent self-plagiarism in the publication of articles, students must select the “Restricted Access” option in the Authorization Statement – Repository under “Availability,” provide a justification, and specify a future date for full publication, within a maximum period of two years.
Submitted papers are reviewed for compliance with formatting guidelines and metadata requirements. Regarding formatting, if a paper requires adjustments, an email is sent to the student—with a copy to the program coordinator—providing the necessary instructions. The paper is then rejected by the Repository so that the file can be replaced with a version that has been revised by the coordinators. Once the paper complies with the formatting guidelines, we proceed with making it available in the Repository.
Guidelines for Submitting Dissertations and Theses, available here.
Once the work complies with ABNT standards (for pre- and post-textual elements), you will be instructed to submit it to the graduate program office so that the file can be uploaded again to the Institutional Repository. Please send the file with the adjustments to the library in reply to this email, and wait for approval before resending it to the course coordinator.
Was your work produced/published as a result of an activity funded in whole or in part by the Coordination for the Improvement of Higher Education Personnel (CAPES)? If so, click here to view Administrative Order No. 206, dated September 4, 2018.
